The Swan at Stoford

Sunday lunch at the Swan at Stoford, Salisbury.

We decided to go out for a roast today at one of our local pubs in Salisbury.

We decided to go to the Swan at Stoford as we’d never eaten there before. The Swan closed back in April of this year but is now open again and under new ownership and management.

A warm welcome

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived at the Swan and the staff were courteous and polite. We were offered a lovely choice of places to sit and the waitress even offered to get a bowl of water for our dog. We had checked beforehand that the Swan was a dog friendly pub.

Once we had decided where to sit for our meal, the lovely waitress came over with the menu and took our drinks order. After a few minutes, we’d decided what to eat .. We were both going to have traditional roast beef with yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings.

Our roast beef was brought to our table very shortly afterwards and it looked absolutely mouth watering. I have to say that it tasted as good as it looked and our plates were soon clean. If you want a lovely roast meal then we would certainly recommend the Swan at Stoford.

The pub is beautifully clean and the service is absolutely excellent, you will not be disappointed. They also have 2 beer gardens, one just outside the pub and one right along side the river.
